£2.00 GBP for 2 tepees is cheap as chips but are they any good? Any photos out there or can any one recommend them? Thanks, Mark. |

They are nice, bit on the small side as are the figures themselves, but at a pound each theyre not bad at all – Ive got eight or ten of them. Theyre mounted on hex bases; if youre Ok with that Id go for it. |

And what about their 15mm Pony War figures? The pictures are rather small on their website…they look a bit cartoonish, but that could simply be the small picture size meshed with the paint job. The prices seem to be fairly competitive. |

I have many of the Hovels Indians: true 15mm, adequate detail, largish heads in proportion to the somewhat dwarfesque bodies. The horses are smallish with short legs; they look like ponies. One flaw was that the bows on certain poses were too thin and had a tendency to break. All up, they were good in their day, are adequate now, but if I was starting from scratch today I'd opt for Blue Moon and/or second generation Minifigs. |

Wow, I just saw this post again. We really need a function that shows more posts were made to a thread. Anyway, My Hovels tepees are really only good for 15-20mm figs. They are code PW25. I also have a lot of Hovels Indians. I got some painted and unpainted. I went ahead and mounted them on 2 metal washers i glued together. That makes them the height of my Frei Korps, Old Glory and Peter Pig figs. Heft is close enough. Really height stands out but I have solved that issue. Again, sorry for the late reply. John |
