After a lengthy hiatus, I have picked up my blog series covering my personal wargames history, "Of Dice and (Tin) Men".
This post covers the mid to late 1980's, and uses scanned in photos from "back in the day".
Perhaps the first wargame fought in my (then) new home, using our home grown gidded table ancient rules, which I have named "Legio Quaternarius"
Lousy shot of a huge Napoleonioc Wargame also fought in my basement, using our house rules of the time.
This was the Age of GeoHex!
The post also covers some influences on our ever developing developing house Napoleonic rules, including
and an article in MWAN by a chap named Brent Oman, who I would later come to know very well through my association with Piquet and Field of Battle.
