For anyone who is interested we have started a blog on our facebook page, this shows each step of the manufacturing process of a plastic injection mould – from when we receive the finished 3:1 masters from our customers through to actual moulding of the frames – and with kind permission from Alan and Michael Perry (Perry Miniatures) we are doing this 'live' on their latest project the Light Cavalry – we picked the masters up last week so obviously very early stages – we are putting pictures and short video clips up at various stages with explanation of what we are doing. This is just one way of manufacturing – a conventional method using the 3:1 masters and cutting using pantography. The blog can be seen on our facebook page which can be accessed via our website renedra.co.uk Thanks Joan

Does that mean only Facebook users can see the blog?

You finally made 6*3 cm bases :-)

I have been waiting for these for years. Now I just have to count how many I need…

Thank you all for the interest that you have shown so far in how we manufacture our moulds, today we have put up the casting of the first of the copy aids for the Perry Miniatures Light Cavalry on our facebook page, there are a couple of short video clips and quite a few photos, have a good weekend everyone. Thanks Joan

Yep, enjoying that. Often wondered how the split lines were determined and then transferred over to the mould process – will be good to see the resin moulds panto'd into the steel

Hi All, for those who are following our blog on facebook, where we are showing the manufacturing process on a new live project – Perry Miniatures – Light Cavalry, we have just updated it with the next step 'machining, opening and cleaning the first copy aid', we have now combined this stage into one 'video story clip' – hopefully you will agree it looks a bit tidier doing it in this format rather than lots of single pictures and videos. Thanks for the comments and e-mails we have received I will try and answer them all over the next few days. Many Thanks Joan
