I wonder if the heraldry is just decorative or if it represents anyone. The obvious candidate for the fess on the banner and on one shield, the most obvious coat, is that of Austria, apparently adopted in the early 13th century – link In which case one wonders, though the buckle was found in Hungary, is it necessarily made in Hungary? |

A good question and, at least, who was it made for? The mounted(?) drummer in battle may be a clue (still used by Stradiots in the early 16th century). What type of belts did Austrian knights wear? Druzhina Illustrations of Hungarian Costume & Soldiers |
