View of the Afghan forces initiating the attack. Sorry that the photo is so blurry. The lighting is not good in my basement and that is something I need to improve to get better, clearer photos.

Fantastic! In black-and-white you wouldn't be able to tell these from contemporary photos. :)

Really inspiring stuff. Thank you for showing us.

To help with your photos taken at low light levels, may I suggest a mini-tripod? I have something similar to this which I bought when I got my camera. It helps immensely.

Your war game looks fantastic with the sweep of scenery that does remind one of the high plains of Afghanistan.

Incredible, Bob, just incredible!

Did you but that terrain-cloth or is it homemade? Either way it looks great!

I hope you plan to photograph and post the rest of the battle!

Thanks to all for the photo advice and comments. I bought the terrain mat years ago but can't remember exactly from whom.I think it might have been from the "Terrain Guy". I have spilled stuff on it and added flock randomly and let it just get old from abuse and neglect(sounds like what has happened to me). It seems very durable and the wear and tear has improved the look of it.I will put up more pics of the battle as it progresses.I am playing using "Colonial Adventures" rules against my oldest son and have to wait for him to come back over to finish the game. We only got about 20 minutes into it and he had to leave.
