I ordered some a while back (perhaps six months ago), from a company in England if I recall correctly. I like them a lot, but now I need some in 30mm as well (the previous order was 25mm).

Can anyone point me in the direction of the lost company that I am sadly forgetting?

Look for steel discs, not washers. They become washers when someone buys them and punches a hole in the middle.

Possibly this fellow?

Hmmm….I would loved to have known about this fellow before. I base my skirmish forces on 3/4" washers but have never liked the thickness of them (tho I use it – and mark the edge of the base with a color code for company/platoon/squad).

But they are pricy: $0.40 USD for one base, versus my current $0.04 USD, not to mention shipping a box of steel airmail across the Atlantic. Still, I may think about it….

I use nickels.
They are the right thickness and they only cost $0.05 USD each.
Also, when I croak my kids can cash them in and make MILLIONS !!!

EC- have you ever approach Wargames Accessories with a request for round bases? I also use washers but would prefer thin disks.

If you can't remember who it was, take a look on Etsy -- there are quite a few people selling blank steel disks for jewelry and scrapbooking purposes. They're called "stamping blanks", if that helps.

CATen: I believe that's the one. Sadly, no 30mm diameter.

Javelin98: Etsy has them for about $0.80 USD per. A bit steeper than I want to go, but thanks for the idea – I cna look elsewhere now.

Chris: I'll try that in the old Google-fu.
