I know the game is long gone, but what minis came with the game box? How many? I know they were plastic but was wondering. |

You actually can still buy the ships from GW And rules used to be available from their specialist game line. I have also added lots from Con flea markets and even a couple from EBay Clif |

in the base game you got 4 plastic imperial and 4 plastic chaos ships. you also got rulers and counters to represent the torpedoes and flights of aircraft as well as dice. Each plastic could then be made into different style ships or carriers chosen from the rules. hope this helps. |

As additional info, both fleets were made up of plastic cruisers. As kalgaloth said, you could individualize the ships' loadouts to make different classes of this or that type cruiser. If you can order them still from GW, looks like you'd have to contact them directly. All specialist games miniatures were pulled from their site about the time they pulled down their rules support. |

thanks for the info. I have seen some of the metal minis but never even seen pics of the plastic ships that came in the base game. Even GameeBoardGeek did not show the contents to the base game box. Now I am wondering what the fighter counters looked like for I have seen the torpedo counters. |

The fighter markers were about the size of a 20mm WFB base and had either 3 red or 3 blue fighters on them. |

Doing a simple Google 'battlefleet gothic sprue' got me some useful images. dakkadakka.com has a piccie of an open box: link Sorry, doesn't show the tokens. Or, have a look at waralter.blogspot.com link Small image, but spread nicely. Also, lots of images from eBay of sprue that should be what came in the original box. Doug |

You actually can still buy the ships from GW. Not unless there's some super-sekret code for doing so. GW discontinued support of all their Specialist Games recently. (Last year?) There is a shop on Shapeways that seems to have a deal to produce BFG-like ships, but they've got the usual 3d-print pricing. |

There were four different fighter/bomber craft tokens. There were the 5 craft fighter tokens that were in red a blue, and the 3 craft bomber tokens that were in red and blue. You can see them in the second image TheBeast linked to. |

Yes all BFG ships were discontinued by GW. Many people are using ships from other ranges, plus the usual shapeways stuff. If you look at my battle reports you will see a mix of ships from Ground Zero Games and Dark Realm starting to take the field: link The BFG section at the Specialist Games section has more discussion on proxies for ships: link |
