This is something I've been meaning to put together for awhile. It was originally going to be part of my French Army, but I decided to put it up on eBay shortly.
There are a couple more photos on my blog.
Thanks for looking -Scott djokergaming.wordpress.com |

I have the Westfalia version, subtly different, and keep meaning to add some crew and horses. I have no idea how correct is your interpretation of French Artillery green, but it is just what I have been trying to achieve and I love it. May I ask how you did it? |

Thanks guys! deadhead- The green is one of those "close enough" things for me. I know they were an olive-ish green, so I use the Reaper Paints olive triad. Base coat with Muddy Olive, overbrush with Olive Green, drybrush with Pale Olive. And then I have some of Tamiya weathering powders. I dusted the whole thing with Light Sand. -Scott |

Looks great, very vibrant color. Agree with deadhead on the artillery green, its how I envision it should look. |

@Deadhead Don't forget you can also paint Gribeauval material grey – which it originally was and one can still see grey material in 1809 |

Grey? That I did not know….I seem to recall something about a red shade on some vehicles. I noticed a Westfalia product, the engineers' caisson in red, which always puzzled me. Thanks again! |

Red shade is of pre Gribeauval – but I could show you revolutionary paintings with grey guns and red waggons, very striking. In case you tell me your e – mail address esteemed FRCS – I will forward them to you. |

FRCS means not a thing after a few decades. That was 1980. It means "Licenced to Kill" (a UK medical joke). I am now also FRCSI, which relates to my birth country, but just meant I pay the Irish fellas a few hundred Euros a year, for an honorary thing and am welcome to St Stephen's Green in Dublin. Wish I had your background knowledge of all this! |

and again I have to thank you for a tip you may have forgotten sending me. My Eclaireurs' shabraque…you said the red edge, use a dark brown base and then the red stripe. Incredible difference. Trying to go back over rest of my small collection now! Will send on e mail |
