Some very gracious supporters have video chronicled a 54mm Napoleonics game they played using All the King's Men figures and rules. A still camera took a picture every 5 seconds across the 3-hour game, with the result edited and posted to youtube.

Now, I'm not a father, but as a miniatures maker and rules writer, I'm going to declare this video as wondrous as watching your child be born. Better, in fact, because there's no mess to clean up.

The game was played by Tim A and his son-in-law Jon. Rules by ATKM. Figures cast and painted by ATKM, with a few other commercially available ones. Terrain by Tim with several pieces provided and painted by ATKM. The sheer class of it all is pure Tim.

Feel free to check out the All the King's Men site:

Thanks for sharing that link. There needed to be more dead figures on the table. :-)

That brought a tear to my eye.

You have every right to be proud.

Light up a Cuban and pour yourself a double Cognac!

I really enjoyed that, especially the last shot. The only thing I wish is that there could have been some close-ups of the figures. You have every right to be a proud parent!

Well Done, Gentlemen!

The epilogue, though, might simply have been the best part, if only because it emphasized the whole point of the affair--Chaps behaving well!

A Proper Salute to You All.

Well, if we could ever get time for a game, maybe some of my troops would oblige you. Or would they? :-)

Odd--whenever I play there is no lack of dead figures--usually mine. I guess they don't call me "Burnsickles" for nothing (i.e. Crazy + Stupid).
