The Zero was state of the art in the 1930s and early 1940s. The problem was that it wasn't updated or replaced quickly enough. By 1943, it was a generation behind the US carrier-based fighters. That bird looks like an F18 fitted with the F22s intakes! |

Zero=no self sealing fuel tanks and the pilots would take out the radios so it would maneuver better, It wasn't the plane-Imperial Japan pilot replacement was a 'Fly 'til you die' system. Now, if that jet can TRANSFORM, that would be nice. |

I'll believe it when I see it. Japanese air (and ground) procurement over last 10-15 years has been nearly as incompetent as the Indians. |
