Ah but it's apples and oranges. The US Sailpower sloop from Sea Dog is 15MM at $30. USD The Northstar sloop is 28MM at £13.00 GBP ($20.93USD), though shipping from the UK will put it over $30 USD for US folks. :)

Well I'm doing it in 15/18th and these look better then the 28th IMHO. Cheers.

or with a little balsa wood and foam board you can make your own sloop

I built a small fleet including 2 sloops, 1 schooner, 1 brig, and 2 frigates in an afternoon, again not display models but good for a game and as good as the off the shelf model posted above. and for about $15 USD in supplies. of course i added some store bought guns and figures that cost extra.

Brian with Sea Dog Game Studios here:

We offer several kinds of sloops, not just the one pictured. I also have a couple more in the pipeline for later release.

lots of pics of our 15MM ships can be found here: facebook.com/SailpowerGame

In addition to the Bermuda sloop we also have a merchant sloop:

and a open deck sloop …

We also have made larger great sloops based of John Paul Jones's Providence. (See the quarterdeck great sloop in our classics line) link

We also sculpted a large open deck 28mm great sloop

same link or see this pic for the 28MM sloops in action:

As for shipping, we are still working out the best way to serve our friends in the EU and Canada. If you drop us a note we can look in to what it would cost to ship to your locale.

Also if those of you are in such places can recommend a distributor that might like to carry the product or tips of shipping to your local we would always appreciate the info

Again if you guys ever have questions feel free to reach out to us
