Here's a quickish review on the Gladius armed box

picture
colourful box art as always from Warlord games. Inside you get 6 sprues of 4figures per sprue. I'm pretty new to this era but the armour, helmets, shields and equipment look right. One sprue is the command sprue, so you get a full 24 figures which includes the command element.

You also get slings on the sprues so you have got an extra option when you build them up. Trouble is you have to remove the gladius hilt from every figure who has his sword drawn! It would of made more sense to include the slings in with the pilums and have all the missile arms troops together. It may seem petty but it would of made it more straight forward.

Also no shield transfers included! The EIR have shield transfers included so it would of being another plus to buy them. It would also of helped out making the box slightly more attractive price wise! Victrix seem to be winning on that score. So would I buy more! Probably! I do like warlord figures but the markets expanding for plastics and we will all have more competition for our hard earnt cash.
So thanks for looking, hope this has maybe helped one or two people make up thier minds!
Cheers Russ
