Song of Arthur campaign beginning. Our club is using 90mm Schleich miniatures for this game. This blog posting is short on words and long on pixels so click the images for a better view of the game. We are campaigning a "progress" by Arthur's knights to the north duchy of Lincoln. Here we will meet my old Pendragon character Duke Aaron and have a tourney. Gifts will be exchanged at the winter feast this December.

Like a scene out of "Excalibur!" Very nice!

Very nice and good idea to use those Schleich figures.

BTW The banner on your blog from the back of a comic book for Rev war soldiers. I ordered those as a kid and still have them!

Me Too. You can look at my early blog posts and see them in a battle. I have played with them for years and still get them out for nostalgia and the old Joseph Morchauser rules set.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Great job! It's one of my favourite rulebooks, and the Schleich really add to the atmosphere.

I was skeptical when I heard "Schleich", but it looks really nice. The castle and greenery really help to de-toy the scenes. This would make a great convention game.

OMG – the ad that is your banner – I bought those soldiers from a comic book when I was very young! I told my wife and she said how do you remember that! Oh and your figures are so cool. I would never have considered gaming in that scale, but it makes perfect sense with what you are doing. Thanks for sharing!

Very nice and a Pendragon tie in? I thought that we were the only outfit doing that, we're designing a campaign tie in with "GoT" characters where by Arthur and his KOTRT move to set things right in Westeros. Lancelot vs. Jamie Lannister (pre hand amputation) is much looked forward to as is Merlin vs. Melisandre. I wish that we could do ours as grandly as you are doing yours, but due to room and economics ours will be 28mm. But I sure wish we could go as elaborate as you guys have.

I have a twenty-six year old character sheet with my original Pendragon character on it who in the course of the game has had grand children. He resurfaces in a lot of our groups games as a fluff background character. I am fortunate to game with a group that is very flexible in having characters from one rule set appear as cameo characters in a completely different rules system. We have a Flashing Steel group of pirates that began life in the HeroQuest MB boardgame, jumped through a GASLIGHT game and landed for the most part in Flashing Steel.
