Wandered in yesterday and saw that they have their Halloween stuff on sale already. I picked up some Lemax gravestones and coffins at 40% off. :)

Sonme of the local dollar stores (not a brand, just a description) have been offering not-Lemax buildings as well. Some are suited for 15mm, others for 28mm.

I started seeing the stuff on 'sale' mid-September; I think they started on sale.

Hobby Lobby had Xmas on sale already, though I tend not to buy there. 50% off must be a real price. Continuous web/phone 40% off coupon, just about everything on 50% off rotation…

I find Hobby Lobby usually has a good selection of various items(better than Michaels) that can be used for scratch-building terrain and other goodies. Plus, I have always found the staff very helpful when looking for something above my pay grade(fabrics, etc.).

The Michaels near my home gets one shipment of Halloween stuff in mid September and when its gone its gone. Usually its pretty picked over by the first week of October.

Yeah, chuck05, my store does the same thing. Once the sale starts, it gets to be slim pickins really quick if you don't get there early. This year I got there late and was only able to pick up 3 packs of the Lemax things I was looking at.

Yeah, Michaels is about cleared out here.

Still rather go there than Hobby Lobby. People are nice enough, as you say, but value seems far more 'illusional'.

If I ever WERE serious about fabric, I'd be off to JoAnn's.
