Looking for figures to represent Wilders " Lightning Brigade". Do mounted infantry with Spencer Rifles exist in 15mm?

If not, what do you use? Infantry? Dismounted cav?

Thanks.

Standard infantry, no packs, based as loose formation troops with horse holders and mounts gets the point across.

Cheers,

Sorry, but in 15mm, who the heck could fault you for not having the absolutely correct figures??? Anyone without 10x magnification will not be able to tell the difference. I love the Fericorp stuff, and have plenty of it, but I can't see the difference from the photo.

They have different shape collar badges :-)

I'm not conerned that someone will "fault" me for using plain old infantry figures armed with rifled muskets. It's just something I'd like to do for my own satisfaction.

Hores for courses they say…

If I recall correctly, Wilder's Brigade was originally armed with the Colt revolving rifle. Is this correct? If so, when did they change to Spenser's? Or did some get Sharps rifles? Just curious.

Wilder's Brigade was never armed with Sharps or Colts. They were always armed with Spencers as an operational unit. They received their Spencers in the spring of 1863.

To further complicate things, at least some of the brigade received cavalry shell jackets. The men promptly tore off the yellow facings. They were infantry, after all. So you could conceivably use cavalry figures. However, then you get into the issue of the Spencer Rifle is noticeably longer than the Spencer carbine.
