Thank you! Indeed, the flag is half historical and half based on an assumption regarding the accuracy of the central device, which is based on the Bishop of Mainz's coat of arms. I used Pengel & Hurt, and N. Cogwell as my sources. In the latter book (1758: Zweybruecken in Command), in page 159, there is a suggested flag like the one I have… |
