Not really a battle report just a scratchbuild using blue insulation foam and card link |

Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing your pics. Needs to be grimied up a bit, since it is far too pristine for a sea-going vessel. That should be posted to the new Scratch-Building Board. Oh wait, we don't have that yet….. |

Very model. Simple but effective. Why don't we have that board yet? |

I agree. Simple but effective (and it looks good, too). |

Will we be seeing that at Pro or Con this Fall? |

Can't believe this thread cropped up today…I just spent my afternoon searching online for 15mm cargo ship model kits I could use for some modern skirmish gaming--boarding actions, extractions, etc. Does anyone make appropriate scale kits for these ships? I couldn't find much out there and was thinking I'd have to resort to a scratch build like this. |

Actually I built on a whim, Rich Uncle Pat was talking about needing it as a prop in a Rock the Casbah game, I needed a break from painting WW1 khaki Brits. I could do another one with a step-by-step if people are interested. corporalpat; Yes you will, I will be running a Great War FoW game in 20mm, R.U.P. is worki9ng on the scenario involving the ship but I am not sure it will be ready in time |

I'm definitely interested in a more detailed post about how you built the ship! |

6mmACW, Reviresco makes a multimedia tramp steamer kit in 15mm similar to the above scratchbuild on their website for $30. USD I plan on ordering it at some point in the future. Russ |

Schreiber-Bogen also does a card coastal freighter model in 1:100 for 5.90 euros. They also do some other interesting boats and ships in 1:100. More future purchases! Russ |
