Having never used clay shapers before, I was wondering what firmness & sizes are the best for doing 28mm? If anyone answering would be kind enough to explain how they are best used I'd really appreciate it as well. Because it appears that these tools are pretty pricey and are sold from different vendors, I want to be sure before I dive in. Any advice and recommendations are welcome! Thanks all! :)

If I could find the youtube videos as well… they are worth a watch.

I have the most firm. Smallest size. There are 5 different shapes. I get the most use from the chiseled angle and the cup.

Heresy miniatures sells them at a very good price.

I rarely use mine but do have a full set of firm and a couple of softer nib types.

I think the pointy or 'bullet-nose' tip is the most useful.

I particularly like them for smoothing out Green Stuff, try using them with a little water (I don't like using spit or saliva – as recommended by some).

Good luck.

Incredibly useful, go grab a pack of them.

Smallest size (0) and black tips (extra firm) – grey tips do work, but youŽll be better off using the black ones for almost any sculpting putty.
