Noticed a 15% off offer for Spartan Games stuff until the end of September 2014 and decided it was time to buy some bits to add to the collection for scenario generation/eye candy.

However – 15% off is nice but as the boxed set for merchant fleet has just gone from £43.00 GBP to £48.00 GBP at the time of the offer it's a bit less of an incentive.

Even more annoying – a google search shows the price on the link as £43.00 GBP but on the web page it's up to £48.00 GBP

Not impressed really.

Stuff like that is pretty standard. When they want to increase the price of candy bars they will often make those giants sized ones.

So then the candy bar gets 50% bigger or something like that and the price goes from $.50 USD to $.75 USD. After a little while the candy bar goes down to the original candy bar size and the price goes back down, but only to $.65 USD.

Wow – I thought I was cynical…..

I'd have waited till after the offer to put the prices up is all.

Even the eBay sellers have seen the rise and hiked their prices to match, I do prefer to go direct as Spartan are a small outfit but this niggled me a bit.

It is a tad dishonest I think, at the very least sleezy.
