Ok so I have been trying to make a list for the invasion of Yugoslavia and need to find some models that would work nicely as depicting the yugoslavs any suggestions would be welcome and I can't find many references for how to paint the enlisted Yugoslavians. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you looking for Yugoslav army or for partisan types?

KCisco449129 Sep 2014 8:24 p.m. PST

Yugoslav army I found uniforms for the officers but it also noted that regular soldiers had a different uniform. I have a bunch of left over Russians I am hoping to use if the uniforms are similar.

There's a few photos on the wiki. In 15mm, you could probably get away with Russians and not worry too much about it.

Pithead have a pretty good Royal Yugoslav Army range. So far they have Yugoslav Infantry,81mm mortars,ZB machine gun, 37mm Skoda A/T gun, 100mm M28 Field Gun,75mm M15 Mountain gun,two Praha trucks, FT17 light tank and a Renault R35 tank.

They do have a nice range there and definitely what i was looking for the only problem is that I don't really have any 10mm stuff i mostly do 15mm do they do any 15mm stuff.

Use 15mm WW1 French. Minifigs are the most appropriate. The helmet is right and the overcoat looks fine.

Tanks are Renault FT 18s Can get those from QRF or Battlefront or Forged in battle.

I think someone does WW1 Yugoslavs with their characteristic soft hat.
Its Eureka I think???

Minifigs do I think an Austrian WW1 fieldpiece. As most Yugo stuff was inherited Austrian WW1 that should be OK for artillery

Lewisgunner30 Sep 2014 2:35 p.m. PST

You could do worse than use the BF or QRF French 47mm anti tank gun for this baby

picture

They also had a 37mm Skoda which could be done with a bit of scratch building!

Lewisgunner30 Sep 2014 2:47 p.m. PST

and, of course they had 40

Eureka do Serbs in their 15mm WW1 range and mixing a few of those in e.g. these gun crew w, would give the force an authentic look.
