Very nice model of a knorr and excellent painting and presentation. The only minor criticism I have is that with a small crew on a cargo ship (as opposed to a war ship like a longship), I tend to doubt that several of them would be wearing helmets at a time when no threat is apparently present. Ah, but a threat is apparently present, or else they would not be armed. See the guy in the bow pointing? And the other guy looking where he's pointing and about to drop the sail? Probably a longship has been operating in the neighborhood, and this merchant vessel is hoping to run the gauntlet. If not, then they will have to fight…. |
