Got a couple of filler building finished for this game before moving on the the feature ones like the Corral itself and Flys Boarding house. I also hope to have the Earp gang painted by the end of the week. Some pictures can be found here- Link |

I like what you are doing, what you have done, very much. A question, not a criticism – do you think that the whole of a building would have been painted or just the front facing? I was looking at the deep blue building and just wondered. Regardless, your work is fantastic. |

That's a good question! The blue one is actually green with lots of weathering. I will be doing some as you say with just the front coloured. I'm not totally convinced even the fronts would be coloured in reality. Wonder if its just a Hollywood thing but at least the set for Deadwood had no coloured frontages that i can remember. |

That's a good question… To be honest what most of them did was "Paint with the paint they had"…. This usually meant that the front was painted (at a minimum), and if they had none left, the sides were left bare, or sometimes the sides were painted about 1/4 to 1/2 way down, to give it a nicer "cleaner" look….. Paint was costly and so it wasn't wasted on areas that didn't have many eyes on it… |
