I am having a hard time seeing uniform differences in British grenadiers of the Jacobite Rebellion as compared to the grenadiers in the French and Indian War. Were the uniforms basically the same or am I just not seeing the differences? Thanks.

The waistcoats had rounded vs square corners. And the belts were worn differently.
Not much difference really.

That's kind of a complicated question.

The basic uniform was indeed the same.

The variations would occur on particular campaigns during the F&I.

So for instance, the gaiters in F&I might be black, with leather tops (57-58), or wool (59), or brown (55). The small clothes might be linen (55). That sort of thing, but the basic cut of the clothes and cap would be the same.

I'm no expert but I think one of the most visible differences was that in the 1740s the waist belt was worn over the coat whereas by the time of the SYW/FIW it was generally worn under the coat.

I was thinking of using Old Glory Jacobite range British for the SYW: I've heard it said that their Jacobite range figures are better than their FIW ones. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has used this range for the SYW.

I'm currently painting some and they look very nice.

The waist belt could be worn over the coat during combat, to help secure the other gear, or it might be worn over the coat if the coat was buttoned across, say in cold weather.

Here is what is regarded as the most historical painting of F&I grenadiers:
