The civilians are very nice indeed. For the bish, the sculptor unfortunately chose to drastically simplify the garb. No Catholic Bishop, and Prince of the Empire, would be caught dead in such Puritan attire. I suppose this was the reference
- but that is an embroidered cassock (albeit black on black), not a simple coat. |
