I've been working on this for a bit and figured I'd show it off. It's going to have some cosmetic changes and a few fixes to make it assemble easier. I do love it when a complex design is close to complete after a single prototype. It spans about 9" and is 11" in total length.
Rough estimate of cost will be around $10 USD MSRP but I need to finish it and work out packaging first. The rods are going to be interesting to package. |

Although interesting and I do realize it is just for gaming but if that is representing a wooden bridge there is no way it would support the weight of a Sherman tank. |

The Sherman is just for scale. It was handy because a bolt action game was going on. |

That bridge actually looks wide enough to use in Infinity… Now, how the devil am I going to rig that acrylic rod with an LED to light up? |

actually there should be a gap in the end caps big enough for a small led. The rod comes in at an angle and is designed to catch into that. Still working out the exact distance needed to fit perfect but there is a small gap. I also enlarged the caps and added another top so you might be able to drill down from the top and then cap it all over… You could also drill in from the outside of the end cap and plant the LED there. You'd need to hid it with something but it would work. Get some sort of clear cap to put over it and even that would glow a bit. |

Ok this design is 90% complete now. I need to do one more test run. I might change the design of the end caps a bit. They are kinda clunky to install. I took some time to paint it up and it came out great.
