"Badab War" Topic

Hello,

I updated the blog with a new project: the Badab War. I am putting together and painting a large force of Mantis Warrior marines using all Mk VI beakie parts from the new range of plastics. Several friends and I will be using our forces in a Badab War campaign. Here is a teaser pic and a little bit about the project. I will keep it updated as it progresses.

I like that color scheme. I had a lot of the original plastic when 40K first came out. Lots of poses could be made from them. Do you know if these new plastic kits are just the same original kits with a new box, or are these all new sculpts?

Well, I might help if I read your blog post first. :-). Need more sleep or more coffee.

I too wish they would have released a new or even just a repackage of the old beak guys. But an interesting way to get sales on new kits by adding in a few retro figure parts.

Very cool looking. I kind of want to get back into 40K. I'd love to do something like this with a campaign but I don't think I have the time. Ideally I would love to do a Warhammer 30K thing. If they ever release the basic marines for a Horus Heresy campaign in plastic I would be all over that.

What version of the rules are you using?
