I have finally finished the army of Glinda of Oz and have posted the final pictures on Fanaticus. You can see them here is you are interested. Whew, that one went a lot longer than I was expecting for a 24 point army, but as I look at the finished result I am happy and feel it was worth it.

Love it!

I would like to see some individual pics and descriptions of the minis, but I really like how you've carried through with the theme, twister and all!

That is wonderful. How does the army break down in terms of elements?

Terry3726 Sep 2014 1:09 p.m. PST

Thank you all.

Darth Fozzy, if you go back to the first page of that thread on the link you will see how the army was created from the source material to the figures I used. The figures came from all makers, and most were then major conversions. I know off the top of my head I used Essex, Splintered Light, Irregular, Pendragen, Baccus, and Peter Pig come to mind. If that's not what you're looking for, let me know.

Excellent! I think green was definitely the way to go with the bases.

I would also like a breakdown of the unit types. I like to hear people's rationale behind their unit choices,it's all part of the wonderful creation process.

Awesome job on the force listing as well, I was able to guess everyrhing but the Lurker apple trees, I had thought them Behemoths. What was I thinking?

It is a wonderful collection. Look forward to seeing the "bad" opponent.

By the way, as a past owner of two Cairn terriers, I would have made Toto an element unto himself, as a behemoth, or at least a beast :)

No Tick-Tock of Oz??

Gone Fishing27 Sep 2014 8:32 a.m. PST

I'll second the wish that if you come up with a bad army, please share it with us! I love looking at unique DBA armies.

mashrewba27 Sep 2014 2:36 p.m. PST

Best HOTT army I've seen. Love those trees.

Snowcat30 Sep 2014 4:12 p.m. PST

Wonderful. Love your work – and I'm thirding the Bad Army request! :)

Terry3701 Oct 2014 12:22 p.m. PST

No, Tick-Tock came later in one of Dorothy's other visits. I kept the army to just the one book/movie – The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. But i sure see no reason to exclude characters from the other books as there were 15 of them all together I think.

I have not worked up a full bad guy list but Pete has. I'll see what we can share and be back to you all shortly. I believe Pete is planning on having his two armies at the Coventry Leg of the GBnU Tournament next month.

Thank you all for your very kind comments! It was a really fun project and I enjoyed the several challenges along the way.
