Hi all!

Well, it's been an AGE since anything showed up on the House of War… so my buddy ordered me to come over and take some photos of his 40mm AWI figures so my last post wasn't about Thomas!:)

So come on by and take a look!:)

Man, what a great idea! The whole game really looks like fall. Maybe I've lived a sheltered wargamer's life, but I don't think I've seen a game table quite like this. The terrain and the beautifully painted figures are a joy to behold.

It also helps that this is one of my favorite periods of history and one of my two favorite seasons, the other one being winter.

Quite gorgeous!

That's one of the most beautiful tables I've ever seen. It really evokes the season in an amazing way. The 40mm figures look incredible also--are they Miniatures Service Center, Sash and Saber? Only the tiniest quibble: the fifth photo down is a little high on bald chaps!

Great stuff, and thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the kind words and thanks for the plug Lord Ash. I've put quite a bit into my war room. I consider it my investment in mental health!

Daryl, I agree with you on the toe heads! Once I put them all together it really stood out. Im going to be adding hair and hats to a few with green stuff.

That is one nice table. I have a few Autumn trees in my box. This inspires me to get creative with the flora.

Thanks

Hah! We have both discussed the wealth of bald guys in the past, and how to get rid of some of them!:D

The ground scatter is a big part of it… it makes the ground SO red and yellow…

You could always make it part of a scenario. Perhaps the East India Company has been selling a new hair rejuvenator in these here parts, but the trouble is, it didn't quite work as they expected…Now the countryside is aflame with irate former customers.

Every stand with a bald fella is +1 firing, melee and morale!
