Things will be okay.

GW isn't that bad.

Kids nowadays will be fine.

Technology is kinda scary but you'll get used to it.

Politicians were crooked in your day too.

Problems in the world will find some sort of solution.

The economy will keep stumbling along.

Your quickly painted mini's will look alright on the table.

The rules you use don't really make that much of a difference (but you should all go buy No End in Sight just in case I'm wrong on this one)

Internet stuff isn't actually that important.

Modern countries are too complex to be screwed up by one person/party.

Your cat probably wants to be fed.

While I agree with the message, Utter Drivel is the appropriate place to post it. Not here.

> The rules you use don't really make that much of a difference

If only that were true. But I most certainly have played rules that DID make a difference.

As for the rest of it, not going there…

The random dude knows whats up

John the OFM24 Sep 2014 10:30 a.m. PST

This is just crazy talk.

Weasel24 Sep 2014 10:47 a.m. PST

Terrement – that's what makes it so radical :)

shaun from s and s models24 Sep 2014 10:52 a.m. PST

don't have a cat!

Weasel24 Sep 2014 11:02 a.m. PST

Shaun – that'll probably be okay too.

leidang24 Sep 2014 11:21 a.m. PST

Cats drool, dogs rule!

Spudeus24 Sep 2014 11:38 a.m. PST

Your cat wants to be fed – that is an absolute 100% certainty (perhaps the only one in this life).

Weasel24 Sep 2014 11:54 a.m. PST

Kitty will remind you, loudly, when that time has come :)

OSchmidt24 Sep 2014 11:58 a.m. PST

Dear Weasel

Yes what you observe is largely true, though significant pain and suffering is entailed in the process.

As for the cat, I did feed him-- to he wolf.

ironicon24 Sep 2014 12:11 p.m. PST

If dogs were cats, would they still bark?

Patrick Sexton Supporting Member of TMP24 Sep 2014 12:27 p.m. PST

I have noticed that dog people often have something bad to say about cats(the converse is not the case). I put it down to insecurity as to their pet choice.

Wish i still had a cat (sniff!) but it wouldnt be kind as I am out all day.
Maybe when I retire in 9 years or so….

Weasel good posting. Far too much truth. The past seldom better. About that cat. Called cross it out and write yorkie?

skippy000124 Sep 2014 3:19 p.m. PST

The secret of life is to…trim flash, prime, paint, repeat…or…flatten map, cut and trim counters, set up. Everything else is not very important.

rmaker24 Sep 2014 4:44 p.m. PST

Modern countries are too complex to be screwed up by one person/party.

Doubtful. The Nazis did a pretty good job on Germany. Tojo and company ditto on Japan. Depending on your definition of "modern country", Mugabe and Amin provide counter-cases.

Weasel24 Sep 2014 6:56 p.m. PST

Should read "modern liberal democratic countries" to make more sense.

Zargon25 Sep 2014 2:51 a.m. PST

Confused and in need of a … Cat?

Those add ons also look cool Weas.

Cheers

Weasel25 Sep 2014 9:06 a.m. PST

Oh noes, we got banished to hte Utter Drivel page. I must protest! This had more gaming content than the top five posts on the "complain about politics" board :)

Oh well, it'll be alright.

Gone Fishing25 Sep 2014 9:19 a.m. PST

Excellent post, Weasel. If you said this in a bar I'd buy you a beer.

Weasel25 Sep 2014 9:45 a.m. PST

You could mail it to me, I'm just a bit up the coast from you (People's Republic of Portland) :-)

OSchmidt25 Sep 2014 9:46 a.m. PST

Dear Weasel

That would be Portland Oregon not Portland Maine right? I'm moving to just north of Portland Maine in a year or so.

Otto

Weasel25 Sep 2014 10:33 a.m. PST

Oregon yeah. Despite being Danish, Maine is a bit too cold for my tastes.

Mako1125 Sep 2014 2:31 p.m. PST

I don't have a cat…….

Weasel25 Sep 2014 6:53 p.m. PST

Maybe Mako11 has some beer and you two can work something out?

Sloppypainter25 Sep 2014 7:06 p.m. PST

Why is there a cat in my kitchen? I don't own a cat. One of you fellas put him there, didn't you?

tkdguy25 Sep 2014 8:41 p.m. PST

I have five cats. They all eat very well. Now if they can just get along…

StygianBeach26 Sep 2014 8:23 a.m. PST

Number 11 is why several persons/parties are teaming together to screw modern countries.

Homeowner: Woke up at 5:30 AM to find this in my kitchen. This is not my cat.

The cat is thinking, "This is not my sink…"

picture

Mardaddy26 Sep 2014 9:45 a.m. PST

BTW, 3 of the 4 cats I own ALWAYS want to be fed, so that is a non-issue.

Weasel26 Sep 2014 11:38 a.m. PST

Tkdguy – Our two cats have sort of agreed to not get along. They'll spend about 1 minute every day making nice to each other, then one of them smacks the other in the face and they'll leave each other alone the rest of the day.

Gone Fishing26 Sep 2014 12:10 p.m. PST

Sounds like some people I know.

Mardaddy, that is a really funny photo!! Your caption is perfect.

tkdguy28 Sep 2014 12:09 a.m. PST

Mardaddy – that photo reminds me of one of my cats. A couple of friends came visiting on my birthday. I found my cat hiding in the kitchen sink.

Weasel – At least it's over after the one smack. My cats will keep fighting half the time. Even when they're separated by a closed door, they'll try to hit each other through the gap at the bottom of the door.

Weasel28 Sep 2014 9:37 a.m. PST

Tkdguy – It took a while before they got to that equilibrium.
Moving to a bigger apartment helped. Apparently 10 extra square feet was all it took :-)
