I am waiting for their release as well, as far as I have seen so far only those that were part of the Kickstarter have gotten them.

I would hope that the KS backers get theirs first.

They are not released yet. I got one in my initial Kickstarter shipment. Not sure about the other Kickstarter folks.

Yes, I got two. Haven't built them yet because I'm still trying to figure out how to get lights into them like my other tripods :)

I got a chance to play a game with them on Saturday. Great detail, great looking stuff. The pictures on the Kickstarter do not do them justice.

Had a blast playing it too. Might just have to invest in it.

I received two with my KS as well. But I didn't get my drones or my heavy infantry. They must have run out before they got to my package. I'm not worried, though, I know Wave 2 will be here soon enough!

I look forward to their release, I thoght they would come out along side all the US Artillery. So for now will just have to be content beefing up my US Forces and working on my defensive line

Got one in Wave One. I have another on pre-order but no joy yet. Did get my heavy infantry and some additional Rough Riders.

A clear update on what's in stock and available to ship and when the rest will become available would be nice.

not on subject, except I want them too :) however I wanted to share I have just recieved my hornby skaledale delerict buildings which I am going to use for my AQMF games and they are great size wise – need a bit of weathering but spot on.

btw sogn up for AQMF newsletters on the Architects of War website quickest way to find out whats being released and when

What I don't like about the grenadier tripod are the weapons. They don't to mach the aesthetics of the rest of the Martian forces and seem like an afterthought. plus the weapon mountings are too thin.

Just my two cents…

I have had a few pieces break on Tripods that I have buildt, however I have found that by drilling a hole into both ends of the break and pinning with piano wire, you get a very sturdy joint

Part time gamer25 Dec 2014 3:21 a.m. PST

Lasalle, Where do you get "piano" wire that you used? Just curious, as Ive never heard of anyone using that.
Depending on the model (and how 'weak' the break point) I have used cut paper clips to good old brass wire. I have heard piano wire is one of 'the' strongest wires available.

XRaysVision28 Dec 2014 10:51 a.m. PST

Piano wire is available in hobby shops that supply model airplane builders. It comes in many different thicknesses. It is hard wire so you need good snips for it but it will also take and keep a bend.

Of course, any hard wire of appropriate thickness will do. The problem can be finding stiff wire fine enough for pinning slender parts.

When pinning, though, remember to roughen the wire with sand paper to give the CA something to grip and remove any residual oils.
