My chum prepped a Warbases Stalingrad building for me to finish off and add to the growing collection of others. You can see how I did on my blog here:

Thanks for looking!

And another thumbs up

Bits of floors for the upper stories, please. Otherwise it looks really good. Stalingrad is a great opportunity to explore all kinds of ruin effects.

Tab and slot might also be a possibility for combining removable floors with nesting building shells.

I really like the way this came out, especially the differing wall coverings on each floor. A nice touch of detail.

Thanks guys, glad you liked it.

The reason I didn't put any extra bits of floors in is quite simply for ease of access during games. It will be used in Rapid Fire where the smallest infantry unit is the company and the ratio is 1 figure equals 15 men. As the figure ratio is not for a skirmish game and are abstract, I take the rest of the game to be as well, so occasionally I can let things go like other floors, when it means it's easier to get figures in there. Plus there is already the remnants of floor beams and the like in there. This was covered in a previous blog post on another building:

The wallpaper is a nice touch.

That is top notch as always, and yes the wallpaper is an outstanding touch. It makes it all look very real

That looks very good indeed, I also really like the wallpaper.

But I am pretty sure this is the first time I have ever seen the word "cheerful" next to "Stalingrad," in any context!

Rrobbyrobot24 Sep 2014 11:56 a.m. PST

Cheerful Stalingrad. Maybe in the next remake of The Producers?

^^^ I was thinking that is the first time "cheerful" and "Stalingrad" were used in the same sentence.

How many buildings do you plan to have on the table?

Abwehrschlacht24 Sep 2014 1:07 p.m. PST

Ha ha, I'd not noticed the unfortunate juxtaposition of Cheerful and Stalingrad… Oops…

79th, we plan on filling the table with buildings, I do have boxes of ruins that I have not fully used on the table. Here is a blog post with a few pictures of small amount of what I have: link

I am currently working on making the green gaming boards that I have with a reversible urban surface. There may be some blog posts on that in the future.

Oh, and thanks guys!
