Would a high-speed version with a streamlined engine section be possible?

OK, now I hate you! wink My 28mm version arrived only this week and now you show me this! When will these be turned into 28mm then?

Oh, before I forget it… Please design a switch as well!

Mad Mecha Guy24 Sep 2014 8:43 a.m. PST

Not sure when turn into 28mm but the low level would be fairly easy job.
Only have to do new supports & a ground wall ring for the stop.

The inter-level would be more of a pain to do, just from its length, might change angle to 10-12deg from 8deg.

The only way can think to do a switch; would be pair of tracks fixed to a base with a section of track from each side would rotate to face each other (at fairly shallow angle). At rough guess would need to do a left & right versions as don't think a combined one would work.

Goober:
Do you mean a version with a the cabin front angled back at around 45 Deg? (ditto for boogie system).
Could have Driver carriage with no passenger space or at least greatly reduced.

Joseph,

You have my eMail… Drop me a line, when you have expanded the 28mm line. I will gladly wait!

Oh that is very cool, I like it! :D

Yup. Something a bit more Inter-City 125 than DLR. Not that the DLR version isn't great, mind you.

Goober,

Unfortunately, this will be impossible to do in MDF, but if you want something really futuristic… ICE3:

The raked back nose akin to an old British 125 Intercity:

Would be doable.

Diseny sells a excellent die-cast streamlined monorail. I recently picked up one without a track. Does anyone know if this track works for it?

Mad Mecha Guy25 Sep 2014 8:43 a.m. PST

what is the trough width?
if greater than 11mm might work, though might have problem with the curves.

That's the fella, MMG.
