Wow! I know how hard it is to paint up a whole unit. These represent hours of painting. Well done.
The pictures are great also.

There are a few extraordinary Waterkloo projects on the boil but yours is special. Wonderful to behold.

Notwithstanding your painting difficulties (enamels to the rescue…I use them always) they are well worth the effort. Absolutely brilliant! Well done.

a paint shaker? Flat varnish?

Lord Hill24 Sep 2014 3:17 a.m. PST

Thanks for all the kind words – makes it seem worth it!

Cardinal – yes, I'm going to give flat varnish a try

They look great!

Soaking plastics in Simple Green for a day will take the paint off. Might require a tad bit of scrubbing with an old tooth brush. Not sure what the UK equivalent is, but its safe so use for plastic and metal figures.

I use Duplicolor Automotive Series Sandable primer and really like it. It goes on very thin, in fact I usually do a few very light coats as it dries very quickly. I'm not trying to talk you out of using brush on primer but I can't imagine how long it would take with the volume of figures you do.

Also thanks for the interesting info on the fighting that took place on the 17th. Don't often get to read about any of that.
