Time to add a bit of church to my dreary urban landscape. Finally sat down and hammered out a building from a pile of Pegasus Gothic Terrain parts that I've had sitting around my workspace for a while. I wanted to go the extra mile for this one, so it has proper roofs (removable of course), parapet walls (lots of cutting…) and a mildly decorative floor. And to really mix it up, it's not ye olde grimdark grey!!!
Really pleased with the Pegasus kits. Alot of DIY is necessary to get the most out of them, but with the right tools, they're great to work with and build a really impressive and sturdy structure that sits well in a multitude of genres and eras. As usual, more pics and an excruciatingly over-detailed description of the process is on the blog: link |

Can I get one in 15 mm, please!? |

Well done! I like the roof you added. |

What a coincidence, I was just thinking of ordering some Pegasus stuff. That is a cool looking Church and it will fit my Medieval stuff as well as my WW2 stuff. And it appears that it would be difficult to beat the price, even with scratching roofs and interiors (thanks Evergreen plastics!) Heck, it might even work in a Christmas Village scene I hope to do. |

Thanks for all the kind words. Jowady, It really is a flexible kit that would probably look fine in a christmas village. As for value, it's hard to say. It's certainly a good result, but the parts to build the building would be 55-66 bucks if bought new. I picked up one of the sets with some store credit and (IIRC) the rest of the parts were a bargain from a friend. Early Morning Writer. With a dremel (buy a 543 cut/shape wheel) to take a half inch off the bottom of the wall sections, I think you really could find a way to use these walls in 15mm scale. And in 15mm, one kit would be enough for an enormous cathedral. etotheipi, Thanks! It was pretty easy to make a roof from plascard with the sloped roof end sections that the newer kits provide. It was pretty bleak back when the first kit came out and it only had walls. |

Thanks for the tips. I'm thinking that for a good sized building in resin I'd be paying that or more anyway and this way I can configure it how I want. I always have plenty of sheet styrene laying around so that isn't a problem. |

That's true. A building that size in resin would probably be $100 USD+. Pegasus built structures aren't going to have the varied details and features of a resin building, but the variability and durability is a pretty good trade-off. |
