WTF?

Winston Smith22 Sep 2014 2:01 p.m. PST

Oh, good grief.
Nothing but the usual nonsense of ridiculous armor that protects no vital organs and a weapon that not even Conan could lift.
Stupid miniature.

Lupulus22 Sep 2014 3:20 p.m. PST

I'll do the usual litany; Stupid clothes, stupid pose, stupid proportions, excellently painted.

JimSelzer22 Sep 2014 4:22 p.m. PST

nice tats

tattoos that is

From a male perspective, one could argue that the little "armor" she wears actually protects the ONLY "important organs". Then again, I have to wonder why she even bothered with that bikini top.

She would be right at home in a Boris Vallejo picture.

Repulsive figure
Ridiculous weapon.
Ugly breasts.

Excellent brush work on a terrible sculpt.

OSchmidt23 Sep 2014 9:17 a.m. PST

Dear Joes Shop

No, the sculpt is good, it's the composition that's awful. Composition being the basic idea.

It took me a while to figure out that red thing is a braid and not some sort of snake. I will voice my usual complaint about absurdly huge weapons. Again.

I think the base is well done

Mako1123 Sep 2014 5:03 p.m. PST

Nice, but "…needs more boobies…".

I know you were thinking that.

Joes Shop Supporting Member of TMP25 Sep 2014 5:43 a.m. PST

Sigh…no, the sculpting is not good; the anatomy is wrong, the head is undersized in comparison to the body, the figure does not follow the standard rule of anatomical division. I could go on and on.

deephorse25 Sep 2014 10:42 a.m. PST

Yes, the anatomy is way wrong. Why is this sort of rubbish even posted here? Just to generate criticism?

I am not sure how the weapon size or impractical armour is radically different than thousands of male fantasy (or sci-fi, especially anime-style) figures. Perhaps we should just have a standard acronym for this objections – BWIA (buh-WEE-uh) = Big Weapon, Impractical Armour?

While I don't particularly care for the above figure, I don't mind the BWIA aspect. Well, kind of … in an odd way, you kind of have to admire the neck muscles that can support, let alone move the attached head to see in combat, while wearing that helmet with those horns. And again, the dexterity not to smack it around when slashing with that axe.

Also, I'm a big fan of giant braids, however, either the braid in this one is too dynamic or the pose is too static. I can't see them together.
