Do anyone know if those two ranges are similar in size? Do they look ok together ? I know that kingsford are quite large compared to Perrys.. |

As to Kingsford figures I can't really comment so can't help you much sorry. But I have mixed Perry and Kingsford together, while on the painting table Kingsford are defiantly bigger so was a little disappointed, so I painted them up anyway and then mixed them in with the Perry's where you didn't really notice the size difference at all. Kingsford only had a couple of samurai figures when I painted up my army , I see they have added a few more figures to the line that I would of liked to include in my army, good looking figures. |

I had the same reaction while painting but agree with the above comment. |

Will try and take a picture of my Perry and Kinsford Sohei monks tomorrow then you can maybes look at Carlos13th's picture of Perry and Steel Fist, which maybe the closest you will get on here unless you buy a trial pack of Steel Fist samurai. Again the steel samurai look good had they been available I may of bought a few to mix in with my mainly Perry Samurai army , it was mainly Perry because I managed to buy 3/4 of the lead off of ebay fairly cheaply otherwise I wouldn't of touched painting up Samurai, I am glad I did it now but it was defiantly an uphill struggle doing them because of all the different detail etc. . 3/4 of the figures on ebay cost me the same as the other 1/4 directly from Perry to fill it out. Again I will try and take a quick picture tomorrow to help you decide but personally I would buy a pack or two and see, you can always use them for baggage/diorama/ general stands if they don't mix. I'm, interested too! Kingsford Miniatures are bigger than Perry Miniatures but as mentioned above once grouped they tend to even out IMO. The Assault Group Miniatures figures closer to our size if that provides any more context. David kingsfordminiatures.org

Sadly I dont have any kingsford to compare. Always meant to but there was always so much more from the perry and steel fist ranges that I wanted that I never got around to it when I had the cash. Comparison of what I do have below.
Left to right Kensei> Northstar > Steel Fist > The Assault Group > Foundry > Old Glory > Perry > West Wind
Left to right Wargames Factory > The Assault Group > Steel Fist > Perry
Not my photograph but here is an example of kingsford next to perry
Kingsford horses are very small but thats pretty accurate as Samurai horses were closer to ponies than western warhorses. Judging on these I would say Kingsford and Steel fist infantry would mix well but in regards to Calvary either just pick manufacturer you prefer out of the two or use both but keep them in separate units. I personally am not much of a stickler for scale people varying in heights and sizes and all so I will be mixing perry and steel fist in the same army and maybe even kingsford later on. I have both steel fist and perry cavalry too but they will be in separate unit blocks not together. |

I concur with Carlos13th and if you look sharply you will see that they actually all fit nicely. The more you mix the less difference… |

I would say steel fist are similar in size to kingsford, but more in the style of perry. |
