Rather a different take on the lady, the tree and the snake story. THAT is certainly what God had in mind when he created woman. The expression is magnificient if you consider it's Eden without the fall. Does she see what she has done, or not done, in that moment of realization? Are the pictures of the ages flickering behind her expression? Both what has passed and what has not passed? The sculpture is masterful as is the paint job. The woman not being anorexic, has enough Luxuria to be erotically and sensually hypnotizing. At the same time though having killed the serpent, it may be that she has had "her eyes opened" as inevitably and perhaps more frighteningly than if she had eaten the fruit of the tree. Hmmmm… That is a masterpiece of the miniature art. Otto Otto

OR the sculptor/painter just liked beautiful, half-naked ladies in a jungle environment ;) |

Great paint job and an excellent set of figures. And the best part – a weapon that is not hugely oversized. |

I too would forego the theological implications and would simply repeat what Gene Wilder said in young Frankenstein. "What knockers!" Why does the chimp seem to have 3 hands? |
