Hello all, I long time lurker but first time poster, and new to Full Thrust. I made a post in another thread with this question but realized that it wasn't the best place for this question.

I have a quick question in regards to rules that maybe you could answer, as it happens to pertain to the Skunkworks books, the SSD's, in particular to the colonial fleet book.

I noticed that the Columbia class battlestar, as well as various other ships within the book have K-Guns (Above class 1) That have 360 degree firing arcs. However in the Continuum rule book (Full Thrust: Cross Dimension Continuum v2.0.0.1 pg22) It says that only K-1 Guns can have six arcs, while all others only have 1 arc with the exception of K-2 which gives you the option to add an additional arc for for +1 Mass.

That being said, my question is…how are they able to get the 360 degree arcs on the K-2's and up? Is there a rule I am not seeing? Is it a house rule or something?

I only ask, as I have rule nazi's for friends, ones that need to see it in writing, or something to that effec

We probably should have noted that on the SSDs but the large hex surrounding the K-Guns in a turret with a 360 degree field of fire. See the Turret Rules in continuum. In short tho you have to pick the weapons facing in the order writing phase. We do it by simply putting a 'tic' on the ssd itself.

If you look at the mercury class there are broadside mounted class 3s. these are a bit of a house rule in order to get the guns to function in a similar way as to how they did in the show. They actually include the turret in the cost and mass but do not require their arc to be noted during the order phase. if your group is picky about such things than use the turret rules for them. However a single critical fail will knock out the gun and the turret. Alternately you could replace them with an equivalent mass of K-2s. The ship class is a one of a kind anyway and is supposed to represent the pinnacle of colonial technology.

Great question! If you have any other questions, comments or suggestions please feel free to ask!

Thanks!!!!
