So those are 15mm figures on that? That is huge. What store did you get it in? |
War Monkey | 20 Sep 2014 4:49 p.m. PST |
Yes! Those are 15mm figures! Picked it up at the Salvation Army Store for only 15 US dollars. Oh yes it's huge!! |

they're not cheap in Australia, but was always tempted. Your pics have convinced me my young sons "need one". |

Good find – cheapest I can get in the UK is Ebay for £30.00 GBP (~$50). Looks good for 15mm. |

That is a very impressive sized ship and it's going to be a huge project, you really have got your work cut out adding all the needed fine detail to make it look more in scale with 15mm, i hope you have loads of plastic sheeting etc… :) zac |

Its very addictive collecting big scale star ships. :-) |
AVAMANGO | 21 Sep 2014 4:34 p.m. PST |
You could play a small skirmish game on that… |

I know this thing is huge! I was first thinking of adding cargo sections to the underside, now I'm wondering if I should just build boxes of sorts as cargo section and have the ship just resting on them (1) It would be easier to build (2) easier to move around (3) the boxes could then be considered as detactable cargo pods, that could be used as stand alone terrain as well I am still thinking of adding another level on the main deck only on to the front area just infront of the tower and skin it with plastic sheets with lots of panels and other odds and ends. The circular area on the rear of the main deck will be used as a landing pad for suttles and such. |

That's big enough you can fight a skirmish action on top of the damn thing. |
Mad Mecha Guy | 22 Sep 2014 2:13 a.m. PST |
Think would look better with Legs. Could do droppable cargo pods but have some side panels on either side of pods fixed in place & have the landing legs/pads amount to these side panels. Regards MMG. |

I wonder how it would look with a fighter-mode Veritech on the deck… |
AVAMANGO | 22 Sep 2014 8:46 a.m. PST |
Like a stubby aircraft carrier… :) |
War Monkey | 22 Sep 2014 2:04 p.m. PST |
@ Mad Mech Guy I think you might be onto something there, I could build the lower hull section along the lines of the landing gear structure, this would keep the landing gears in play and I think it would keep it's streamlined to a degree. Now I'm thinking maybe just reskining the main deck with out add a upper level, (1) it could still be use in a carrier roll (2) I could stack cargo containers on the deck so it would look like a frighter, this would still allow gaming action on the main deck as well as all around it too! As far as plastic sheets go I have tons of it, working were I work at they are always throwing away plastic signs and I have grab so much of it now, the wife said "Now that's enough, No More Till You Actually Build Something!" and My responce to her was "Oookay" :( |

excuse my ignorance but where is this kit from? |
War Monkey | 22 Sep 2014 7:49 p.m. PST |
It's from Hasbro, It's the "S.H.I.E.L.D Helocarrier" |
Mako11 | 23 Sep 2014 3:35 p.m. PST |
Looks pretty good, though I'd personally probably be more inclined to use it as a carrier for metal spacefighters, in about 1/300th scale. |

Mako11 Wonder if you got a big enough table and had one of these monster at each end of the table if one couldn't come up with a game of sorts involving the weapons loading, refueling and launching of fighters |
