I was at my daughter's softball game in Marlborough, Massachusetts today when I was a B17 fly over the field. It was probably around 11am.

Anybody know more about it?

The B-17 is on tour with a B-24 and a two seat P-51 Mustang. The planes were in Hyannis on Wed-Fri. Check out the Collins Foundation website for info on their tour and future sites. It was amazing to watch them land and then take off after tours.

Yep. They were in Worcester Airport this weekend.

If you get the chance go for the tour. They came through my area a few years back. I went and took lots of photos, but I wish I had a video camera. While in the B24 there were 2 gentlemen from the area that took their relatives on tours. One was a navigator for a B24 and the other was the bombadier on a B17. Their stories were amazing to hear.

On a side note I first found out about them being in the area when the B17 flew over my house. I hope that you being at your daughters softball game didn't have the same problem I did in my excitement to see it flying over. I blerted out "holy s… it's a B17". At that point I heard my neighbors 2 young boys, who were eating supper behind thier open kitchen window, laughing at my choice of words. Yeah their momma wasn't too happy with that.

Anyway I hope you get to enjoy the planes.

I live near Ypsilani Michigan & see a B-17 & B-25 fly over on a regular basis. I've also had the privledge of flying on both of them, a truely awesome experience & one that makes you appreciate the sacrifice the WWII airmen gave.

thanks all for the info.

I tried getting a quick photo with my lousy cell phone camera, but it doesn't really give the full effect.
