I wrote a response on your blog but I am not sure it got published as everything is in Czech :) Thank you for nice review of FC. Regarding missions, although they are few they are never the same. Anyway, you will have a lot more on the supplement THW is about to release for FC as well as new and expanded rules for Capships and electronic warfare and a new campaign with 15 scenarios plus a generic one. Cheers, |

This bit of language barrier whimsy reminds me of this classic scene: YouTube link
Now, how do we all translate that bit of historically-based whimsy into a space fighter combat scenario involving the Czech-speaking descendants of a human colony out in the Far and Away going into combat on their own initiative for the very first time in foreign (perhaps alien) supplied machines?

I think I need to paint up a Wing of Hard-Core Czech Mercenaries. I wonder what an appropriate symbol would be? |
Hayden | 20 Sep 2014 11:17 p.m. PST |
HC Mercenaries will propably wear Czech Air Force symbol link also there can wear lion which is Czech symbol for many centuries
another good sugestion is in symbols of the Hussites,Tankard mug, morning star and flail and so on
and finaly good inspiration are unit symbols patches of Czechoslovakian squadrons in GB durning WW2(modern CAF patches are associated with devils or tigers mostly)

What? No Kolache over crossed sabers? |
BlackWidowPilot | 21 Sep 2014 9:43 a.m. PST |
I like the idea of a Morningstar flail as a symbol for such a unit, especially if they're flying heavy strike craft of some sort… Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net P.S. How do you say, "SMACK!" in Czech?

This bit of language barrier whimsy reminds me of this classic scene: Paraphrasing Lincoln's comments on Grant, 'If it gets them to shoot that well, ALL pilots will begin Polish lessons.' Doug PS No Kolache over crossed sabers? Save that for the victory celebration! |
