Hi

I'm looking for some cheap skeletons which I preferably don't have to assemble (yes, lazy!) and have found these from Warrior Miniatures:

link

These fit my criteria of being one piece castings and also nicely priced. Has anyone got any of these, preferably painted up? Their fantasy range is a mixed bag, but some, like the Citadel Guard on foot are decent figures for the price.

Cheers
Chris

Heh. Took me a while to understand what you meant and then I reread my post and realised it sounded like a 'wanted' ad!

To rephrase things, what it meant was:

"So, Warrior Miniatures skeletons. Anyone use them and do they paint up well?"

Thanks
Chris

No experience with those, but check out the Reaper Bones skellies. 3 per pack, $5 USD a pack.

And supposedly, Bones plastic doesn't need to be primed.

Check out Mantic games. Really nice skellies with minimal assembly. Those figures in your link look like poor 15mm from the 80's.

Thanks for that. They look interesting. And I can definitely see some gaps in my collection being plugged by other figures in the range.

Jez: that's a fair point. To be honest even the GW small boxes of 5 skeletons work out at £1.20 GBP per figure, so if I even just compare them is it worth saving 20p each time and ending up with figures I'm not sure about?!

You can get GW skeletons assembled and painted very cheaply on ebay.

Thanks, Mark. After all my looking for alternatives, I might just do that then!

I have been collecting Warrior Miniatures fantasy range and have the skeletons on my work bench primed and based.
Ill try to get them painted this week.
Here is my blog with some of the fantasy range painted.

Ah, Mr Wrigglesworth! It was your painted Citadel Guard foot soldiers that made me want some for my Empire army. And I think you've just done the same with the knights. I don't knew if they had a different sculptor, but for me they stand out from the orcs etc. Looking forward to see your skeletons!
