That is a very cool idea, using fleet scale! I kinda wish I had gone with that myself…I very nearly did, but I found a good deal on the Nexus/Orion/SD plastic ships and bought several boxes of those…the rest is history as they say. :) Cool stuff though!

well the ships are cheap, you can have Capships in no time and you have vast ranges availible from Babylon5,Star Wars even Star trek to Wing Commander or Battlestar Galactica (1st or 2nd Cylon war)
