I got a couple of the woolly mammoth Christmas tree decorations from the local Hobby Lobby to go with my 28mm cavemen. I figure two in the same position but painted different shades of brown isn't bad, but a herd of 5-6 mammoths, all identical would just not be right. I'm wondering if I can adjust the trunk, legs, and head so they are in different positions. How does one do this sort of thing with resin? Can it even be done? Grelber |

Resin can be cut with a razor saw, but you have to be careful and work slowly. I got one of those from Hobby Lobby and I really like it. It can be re-glued with gap filling super glue but I would use a five minute epoxy glue. You should also pin the two parts with a short bit of wire for greater strength. Resin can crack and even shatter if you work it too hard. Still, these are great mammoths, so good luck. Mike Bunkermeister Creek Bunker Talk blog |
