A very 'Handy' resource from the guy over at link
He also has some extensive Vallejo triad charts too! |

Tell you the truth Jack, I think you can have too many paint colours. My old art teacher taught me I should never have more than 10 colours on my palette. This is a very useful guide however |

Well I do see he doesn´t have gloss black, so I guess he doesn´t have quite everything. I do mix my own colors, for one to save on expenses (less on paint means more on figures!), and also because me wife is an artist, and if she saw me buying something like dark sand she would kick my butt! |

I've done this with all the paints I own for several years. However, I use a card coloured in the same shade of primer that I use. It really helps to see how a colour would look when on the figure, not on paper. You'd be surprised how different a white/grey/black primer makes to the shade. |

That's a nice chart – I smear some paint on the cap and that seems to do the trick for me |

why is the dark blue lighter than the blue? |
Fizzypickles | 22 Sep 2014 8:03 a.m. PST |
Lol…there is no Light blue but I understand what you mean. Dark Blue (53) is actually lighter than Intense Blue (52). |
