Just finished up some Pig Iron Near Future troopers and they need a gun drone for support. Probably tracked or wheeled would fit best, tech-wise, altho some grav might work. Any recommendations?

Thanks

I find the old MechWarrior plastics are perfect fodder for converting something like this.

go look at some of the 15mm tanks.

Doesn't GZG do tracked drones in 28? I know they have them in 15.

Don't forget to look at the Infinity drones.

Two in a box, though that's the only tracked drone. 40mm base in the pictures, BTW, though you might get a box with 55mm bases inside.

This is the "Meteor Zond", it's supposedly an airdroppable drone that floats on jets (I have one, there are jet nozzles on the underside of the 'wings'):

The rest of the Infinity drones are mostly walker types (with one set I'm not sure about, they have tentacles…).

Anvil Industries has a good set in its Afterlife range that is a good match for Pig Iron stuff scale wise

The M8 autotank from Relic Knights might work (though it might be a little pricey.) Put some manipulator arms on it and you'd also have a bomb disposal vehicle….

Hi there,
Lets see what you've done with our stuff. All those suggestions should work just fine.

I've got the Anvil Industries drones, there's a choice of three weapon loads minigun, missile and an autogun, really recommend them.

I wasn't aware of the Anvil Industries or the Infinity ones – very nice

Thanks all. Lots of good options.

Si- I'll post pix asap. They're great figs and my brushwork doesn't do them justice.

Now make some drones, will ya?

Reviresco makes several 1/72 scale robot gun drones. The larger Robot Power Gun and Robot Gauss Rifle will work for 28mm drones, as will the Robot Tri-Vulcan Powergun:

You could also consider modifying one of the Starguard! tank or AFV kits for a larger tracked drone of some sort, as several are too small to work even as ultralight AFVs in 28mm, but would pass for larger robotic weapon systems with little or no modification IMHO:

Hope this helps!evil grin
