Just being nosey. Anyone going? What are you looking for?

Allen5718 Sep 2014 12:09 p.m. PST

Thinking. Long drive and nothing grabs me at the moment.

Tommy2018 Sep 2014 12:20 p.m. PST

I'm usually there, but my son's Cub Scout campout was scheduled for then.

dBerczerk18 Sep 2014 3:07 p.m. PST

I wish it were within range.

Yeah, I wish I was in range, too. I've heard it's a great show. On the other hand, I'm reining in my hobby-spending as I prepare to retire. I'd just go and ogle at all the great toys and drool uncontrollably over stuff I'm not gonna get. grin I've drawn the line at completing my Conte/TSSD 54mm (60mm) Alamo. Of course, in drawing that line I had to make it long enough to include the Paragon Spanish Wells U.S. Cavalry and Apaches so I could play a sci-fi-ish alternative universe scenario based on a recent novel, "Custer at the Alamo." By the way, the new TSSD Mexican Lancers are terrific; pretty much like everything else Nick and DeAnna do. Great people running a class business.

I've gone the last 2 years, unsure yet if I'm going or not.

No, but if I lived nearby I would!

cfielitz18 Sep 2014 4:53 p.m. PST

Me too. I used to go a lot.

If you shop on Sunday you will looking at picked over vendors. Most start selling in the hotel rooms no later than Thursday. A lot of unique, rare, limited run items are gone well before the show actually opens.

I stopped going a few years ago when I started seeing the same things over and over. Still, a lot of fun and a good show.
