I got some Peter Pig figs off eBay recently, but cannot match any of them to existing poses. I think they are Vietnam Aussies, but would like confirmation:

Look like Peter Pig to me. Either Aussies or US in boonie hats…can't make out the rifle they carry?

There are some additional pics on the blog, might help. The thing is, the poses just do not match existing Peter Pig listings!

One thing I noticed is the lack of "running and shouting" with the leader figures that is so common with PP. Very odd. I take pride in my knowledge of post WWII small arms but for the life of me I can't figure out what these guys are carrying. It could be M-60's or Bren guns if that lump of metal on top of the weapon is a magazine. Could they be SLR's?

The lump on top of the guns on the bottom row is a carrying handle. They have bipods, and rare indeed is the manufacturer who would make the support version of the SLR.

Took another look at the photos on the Blog. The leader figures with upraised hand appears to be holding a UZI type submachine gun, rather than an Owen or a Sterling. Based on that I'd say these guys could be South Africans with SLR's. But for my money, no PP for sure.

They're the Peter Pig Aussies. The MG is the F.N. MAG

OK the Aussies in Vietnam carried M-60s and the PP figs do also. The above are old figures from Range 17 (AK-47) which have since been replaced with newer models. The LMG gunners are from 164.Professional LMGs, and yes it is a MAG. The others are probably from 163. Professional officers. I can't say for certain as I never bought that pack. Hope this helps.

Fatman, I think that covers it, and makes perfect sense!

Thanks all!
