The third box of their AWI series has been released now and I've got mine today. Of course I couldn't resist and painted my first insurgent aka 'Patriot'.
Best of the range so far. Waiting for some Woodland Indians now. Cheers SP |

Even nicer than the painted examples that accompanied WGF's news release! And I thought those painted examples were nice. |

Contacted WGF about Woodland Indians and got a fast reply saying there was no release date for them yet. I have Brits and Continentals but SHE threatens divorce if I get another package so I will have to wait for the Militia. Sigh. |

Some really nice postings have been coming out lately. You can count this figure among them! Really nicely done! |

Hi Daisy Glad you like him! Very flattering :-) Sadly I'm not on FB but you are most welcome to use this picture of course. Thankyou all for your kind words. Credits to the WGF team though, this is a nice little set of figures and they certainly deserve commercial success. After all, I'd love to see more and even better releases in the future ;-) Cheers SP |

Thanks, Andy! I am excited to share your photo. Do you want me to use your last name as well? If so, I need to know what it is… |

Again, you're most welcome Daisy. First name will suffice. Glad to help. Cheers Andy |

This is a very well sculpted (and nicely painted!) figure. There are two small quibbles that you might like to consider rectifying on any future releases: 1) the cape of the hunting shirt stands a bit too "proud" of the shoulders – there was no internal stiffening, it was just a piece of material (usually linen) and should lie flat; and 2) the hammer on the musket is much too wide* – it was fixed to the side of the lock of the musket, and shouldn't line up with the barrel at all, let alone cover almost the entire width of it (I appreciate this might be a manufacturing problem rather than poor research by the sculptor). * I've noticed this in the British set as well |
