Hi is there anywhere in the UK to purchase the above book? I own the jäger and landwehr books and would like to buy the 1st in the series by Dr Stephen Summerfield.
Cheers
Paul

Hi prince of Essling, yeah I tried Caliver and they are out of stock, Dave says they don't expect new stock till December. Not a long time to wait I know but I really fancied picking one up. Just painted 3 prussian battalions and working in a 4th.
Thanks
Paul

paulalba,

Funny about Caliver as the text does say Print on Demand…

"PRUSSIAN INFANTRY 1808-1840 1) LINE & GUARD 1808 – 1814: Summerfield, Dr S 210p. PRINT ON DEMAND PAPERBACK EDITION. 140+ col ill of uniforms, flags etc. Inc Organisational tables & Orbats. A superb study with the usual high standard of information that Partizan Press is renowned for. For more information. link Continued in Volume 2 -

I don't think I would pay 35 quid for a print on demand

paulalba23 Sep 2014 6:19 a.m. PST

Yes PoE I seen the text and the link also leads to the hardback version.

I mentioned it to Dave at caliver and I believe they are both out of stock. I think for the extra money I'd prefer hardback if I can get it as my other 2 are hardback and I'm flicking through them almost all the time.

Dear All
Thank you for making me aware that my book is out of print. Alas Dave of Caliver Books (Partizan Press) has not paid me royalties for the last 5 years on the books that he has published. I do have a couple of these books on my shelf.

It is a real pity that he has let these titles go out of print. I have not seen the quality of the print on demand books.

Hi Stephen,
I'm sorry to hear that and I hope they are back in print soon.

If you have a spare hardback copy of the Prussian Infantry (line and Guard) I would be happy to buy it from you.
